The Importance of Doctrine-Part Three
Essential Doctrines

In this nugget we will list some of the doctrines that we believe are essential in regards to Christianity. Any church that does not believe and follow these doctrines is not following the biblical truths of the Holy Bible. Any church that intentionally teaches against any of these doctrinal truths is teaching false doctrine.

... the Bible to be the inspired and the only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

... there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost

... in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal, future return to this earth

... salvation is by faith alone and not works

... publicly professing one's faith in Jesus Christ through water baptism

... in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.

... in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.

In the next nugget we will speak on essential doctrines of Christianity that go against the views of secular humanism and even some who call themselves Christians.

As Christians we should never be ashamed or afraid to share what we believe. The truths of scripture are given to lead people into eternal life and to help us to have victory over sin, which provides us an abundant life. The key is share our beliefs in love and kindness without a "I am better than you" attitude. We will cover this topic in our nugget that will be called "Sharing the Gospel".
